Chris and Jacynda Hodgdon are proud to announce that we have changed the name of our business. On February 7th, 2014, we filed and received our Limited Liability Company (LLC) designation. We have gone from being Chris Hodgdon’s Computer Service to Chris Hodgdon’s Computer Service LLC. This has been a large step for us business wise, that we have been working years to reach and are proud to say that we have.
We are announcing the following events in regards to this name change:
- Filed for and received our LLC designation on February 7th, 2014 from the State of Texas.
- Filed for and received our IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) – provided to only those that need it.
- Filed for and received a revocation of our Assumed Name (DBA) Chris Hodgdon’s Computer Service with the Kaufman County Clerks office.
Any current customer or vendor that has requested or been issued a W-9 Request for Taxpayer Information Number and Certification should request a new one. We will try to send them out to those that we know, but may miss a few. If you have issued us a 1099 in the past, please make sure you now have our correct information, as you will need to update this to include the new name and EIN number.
While we could include a copy of our new W-9 on our website, we have decided to treat our EIN number as if it was our Social Security Number (as it is for the business) and will only provide it as requested from legitimate requestors.
